For this concert at the gorgeous Stadthalle in Wuppertal/Germany, Carolin Pook was invited to compose an opening piece, inspired by the spanish "Banda de musica", street bands traditionally accompanying "ferias" and "corridas". She chose the instrumentation of 8 clarinets, 2 trumpets and 5 percussionists and simply titled it "Banda".

This world premiere will be performed by students of the HfMT Köln/division Wuppertal and conducted by Werner Dickel.
